Petition to Remove Racist Statements from the Book of Mormon

Please support Lee B. Baker, former Mormon Bishop, by signing the attached Formal Petition, which requests that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints remove ALL Racist Teachings, Doctrine and Statements from the current Book of Mormon.

Sign Petition Here:  Remove the Racist Statements from the Book of Mormon

The current Book of Mormon states that, God cursed White people with Black Skin because of their iniquity and sin.  Mormon “Scripture” within the Book of Mormon also teaches that if bad Black people become good, they are rewarded with White Skin.  Review for yourself, page 66 of the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 5:21

The removal of these several very Racist “Scriptures” will promote more ethnic equality and religious tolerance around the World, if the Mormon Church indicates that such Doctrine was from its own Leadership and not from God.

The highpoint of this official request to the Mormon Church, will be a full week of demonstrations to the East of the Washington Monument, between 14th and 15th Streets, Washington D.C. in the spring of 2019, as currently approved by Permit from the Events Compliance Monitor, National Mall & Memorial Parks.

Thank you in advance for your time and your consideration of this support.

Respectfully,

Lee B. Baker

Former Mormon Bishop

As a former Mormon Bishop and member of the Church for over 32 years, my wife Kathy and I have spent many years in various Leadership positions of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, documenting, verifying and studying, specifically, the original teachings of the Church. I have found many of the most fundamental of these teachings to be completely out of harmony with the Lord’s teachings in the Bible.
